Security Champion with DevOps Expertise Freelance

We're seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Security Champion! You'll play a pivotal role in integrating security best practices throughout our DevOps lifecycle. This multifaceted role combines deep security expertise with strong communication skills and a passion for empowering DevOps teams.

Here are the 7 key areas where you'll excel:

  1. Security Process: You'll be a master of security processes, seamlessly applying methods like asset classification and threat modeling. Additionally, you'll possess a solid understanding of other CISO tools to create a holistic security strategy.

  2. Risk & Issue Management: You'll navigate the intricacies of risk and issue management processes with ease. Utilizing security dashboards and leveraging ServiceNow, you'll ensure efficient ticketing and tracking.

  3. Security Communication: Translating complex security concepts is your superpower. You'll articulate security policies, standards, and best practices clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Additionally, you'll effectively explain application security requirements.

  4. Pen-Testing: From determining the need for a pen-test to defining its scope, you'll be a key player. You'll interpret results, prioritize mitigation efforts, and explain findings in a way that resonates with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  5. Cloud & DevOps Security Guru: Cloud security, particularly in Azure environments, and DevOps concepts hold no secrets for you. You'll seamlessly integrate security controls into both ecosystems.

  6. Security Design & Coding Awareness: Your understanding of security design principles is solid. While not an expert, you have exposure to secure coding practices or threat modeling methodologies, allowing you to participate in discussions effectively.

  7. DevOps Security: Empowering DevOps teams is your passion. You'll continuously enable and support them through interactive sessions like threat modeling workshops. Advocating for "shifting left" security and best practices, you'll be a champion for secure DevOps.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where security meets agility, then we want to hear from you!
