My client, who is a leading consumer goods company, is currently looking to on board an experienced SAP BASIS Administrator with strong S/4 HANA experience, as well as expertise ideally in Linux and Windows operating system platforms.
This is an on-site role in my client’s offices located in Farmingdale, NY. Those based locally or willing to relocate are thus viewed as a preference.
Due to client industry, those holding U.S. Citizenship or a valid Green Card are encouraged to apply.

The Role
- Experience with various SAP components including HANA S/4, Suite on HANA, EWM, ERP and other SAP solutions.
- Expertise in Linux and Windows operating system platforms
- Strong working knowledge in HANA, and/or other Database management systems
- Propose and apply: strategic Support Pack application, back up planning, system refreshes, and emergency support
- Working knowledge of creating and managing technical documentation
- Capacity to continuously acquire new knowledge in an independent and proactive way
- Educating additional team members in BASIS support to act as your backup
- Troubleshoot and correct SAP problems by implementing OSS notes
- Support the business, I.S. and I.T. in relevant tasks as pertaining to the SAP system
- Continuous evaluation of system administration, user set up, security, and external sap communication
- Efficient transport management and troubleshooting if necessary
- Ability to schedule and manage jobs
- Management of SAP security, security roles, and their application to users
The Candidate
- 12+ years of experience with BASIS configuration/administration
- Experience supporting the day-to-day operational management of an SAP enterprise
- Ability to be on call for go-lives, support packs, refreshes, and system emergency situations.
- SAP BASIS certification is preferential
- Strong experience managing S/4 HANA databases
- Experience implementing ChaRM
- IBMi Integration into SAP is highly preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technologies Management
