We are hiring a Salesforce Administrator to work on a new implementation of Government Cloud at one of our clients, a product-based SAAS company.
This is a remote, contract-to-hire opportunity to start in March 2025. This will be paid at an hourly rate of $55-80/h dependent on w2/LLC – later converting to a FTE annual salary of $120-150,000.
Candidates MUST be US-based and eligible, as well as have prior experience building and operating Department of Defense (DoD) Impact Level 4 or above cloud service environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Salesforce platform within a Government Cloud environment.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense Impact Level 4+ security and regulatory requirements.
- Address Level 1 and Level 2 user support requests for Salesforce and integrated third-party applications.
- Manage user permissions, resolve issues, and maintain a secure platform environment.
- Onboard and offboard users, maintain user roles and profiles, and conduct periodic reviews of permissions and access.
- Provide training to end-users to maximize adoption and efficient use of Salesforce features.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (IT, Sales, Marketing, Finance) to gather requirements, identify challenges, and implement solutions to improve workflows.
- Collaborate with developers and architects to design and deploy scalable solutions.
- Build and maintain fields, process flows, validation rules, and record pages to support evolving business needs.
- Analyze and streamline data management practices to ensure data integrity and optimal system performance.
- Conduct regular audits of system security settings to ensure compliance with Department of Defense Impact Level 4/5 standards.
- A deep understanding and working knowledge of version control systems (Copado & Git preferred)
- Manage vendor relationships for integrated tools such as DocuSign and FinancialForce to ensure secure operations.
- Assist with testing and deployment of new Salesforce features and enhancements.
- Support agile development cycles, providing feedback on user requirements and testing solutions before implementation.
- Certified Salesforce Administrator
- Experience listening and interpreting user requirements and then turning them into action
- Prior experience building and operating Department of Defense (DoD) Impact Level 4 or above cloud service environments
- Eligibility to work in Department of Defense (DoD) Impact Level 4 or above cloud service environments
- Salesforce certifications such as Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant and Service Cloud Consultant.
- Knowledge of Agile development practices and a sprint delivery model
- Experience with SOQL/SQL - demonstrating familiarity and comfort with querying data
- Any developer experience on the Salesforce platform or other web application platforms
