Project Analyst (PMO)
Start: ASAP
Duration: initial 12-month contract (extensions likely)
Location: full time on site (5-days in Basildon)
Pay: OUTSIDE IR35, paying £400-415 p/day
This role supports the delivery of small-scale projects and key PMO functions within a fast-paced financial services environment. You’ll be a detail-oriented self-starter with strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support 1–2 minor projects through the full lifecycle.
- Maintain and manage reporting using SharePoint, Clarity, and Excel. (must have experience)
- Own and update the Client Delivery SharePoint site and Business Continuity Plan.
- Support PMO activities: planning, RAID logs, CRs, lessons learned, PIRs.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and project health checks.
- Drive KPI reporting, process improvements, and knowledge-sharing.
- Manage purchase orders for third-party suppliers.
Skills & Experience
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Proven full project lifecycle and PMO experience.
- Financial services background essential; cards/payments knowledge preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project), SharePoint, Clarity, and Visio.
- Comfortable working independently and in matrix/virtual teams.
- Able to manage priorities under pressure and adapt to change.
Desirable
- PRINCE2 certification or equivalent.
- Business degree with 1-3 years project management experience.
