Job description
Role: PostgreSQL Database Administrator (SC CLEARED)
Location: London OR Bristol (2-3 days on site)
Duration: 12 month contract
Clearance Needed: UK SC **
Rate: £600-650 /day (inside IR35)
Successful candidates will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of the organizations PostgreSQL databases. The DBA will collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements
The role:
- Database management: install, configure and maintain PostgreSQL database systems
- Performance tuning: identify issues, implement solutions
- Backup and recovery: develop, implement and manage database backup
- Security: maintain database security measures
- Upgrades and patching: plan and execute patches
- Documentation: maintain documentation of database configurations, procedures and standards
- Automation: develop scripts to automate routine database tasks and improve efficiency
