Platform Engineer – Hybrid – London – Enhanced DV
Location: Hybrid - Central London
Contract Length: 220 working days / 12 months
Day Rate: InsideIR35
Clearance: UK Enhanced DV (Hydrogen DV required to start)

As an experienced Platform Engineer, you will be a key member of their Software Engineering team, contributing to the development and maintenance of systems that support core mission capabilities. You will work closely with end-users and autonomous Platform Engineering teams to design, develop, deploy, and maintain applications and services.

As an experienced Platform Engineer, you will be a key member of their Software Engineering team, contributing to the development and maintenance of systems that support core mission capabilities. You will work closely with end-users and autonomous Platform Engineering teams to design, develop, deploy, and maintain applications and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to understand, design, and implement solutions.
- Deploy and maintain applications and services efficiently.
- Embrace DevOps and Platform Engineering methodologies.
- Identify and implement the right technologies for various projects.
- Ensure systems support the core mission capabilities of our National Security Customers.
- Hydrogen DV clearance
- Experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure roles
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tooling
- Scripting abilities with languages such as Shell, Bash, or Python
- Working knowledge of Linux or Windows, networking, routing, and firewalls
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc.)
- Experience with Configuration Management tools (e.g., Ansible)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS)
- Experience with Docker and container runtime platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins)
- Location: Central London (expected 3-4 days on-site, with flexibility depending on work scope)
