Platform Engineer – Hybrid – London – Enhanced DV
Location: Hybrid - Central London
Contract Length: 220 working days / 12 months
Day Rate: InsideIR35
Clearance: UK Enhanced DV (Hydrogen DV required to start)

About the Role:
Are you passionate about working with cutting-edge technology and driven to find innovative solutions to complex challenges?
As an experienced Platform Engineer, you will be a key member of their Software Engineering team, contributing to the development and maintenance of systems that support core mission capabilities. You will work closely with end-users and autonomous Platform Engineering teams to design, develop, deploy, and maintain applications and services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with team members to understand, design, and implement solutions.
  • Deploy and maintain applications and services efficiently.
  • Embrace DevOps and Platform Engineering methodologies.
  • Identify and implement the right technologies for various projects.
  • Ensure systems support the core mission capabilities of our National Security Customers.
Essential:
  • Hydrogen DV clearance
  • Experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure roles
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tooling
  • Scripting abilities with languages such as Shell, Bash, or Python
  • Working knowledge of Linux or Windows, networking, routing, and firewalls
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc.)
Desirable:
  • Experience with Configuration Management tools (e.g., Ansible)
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS)
  • Experience with Docker and container runtime platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins)
Additional Details:
  • Location: Central London (expected 3-4 days on-site, with flexibility depending on work scope)
