Job description

Stott and May are looking for an experienced Network Technical Architect to join a growing team, based out of Luton. 


Contract / Freelance
6 months +
inside IR35
Hybrid: 2-4 days on site (depending on customer requirements)



Responsibilities:
- Accountable for preparing and maintaining technical architecture artefacts with understanding of network pain areas (IT WAN, LAN and Wi-Fi, Load balancer)
- Ensure that the design meets the non-functional requirements of the Hosting Strategy, including (but not limited to) – Performance, Resilience, Scalability, Capacity Management, Disaster Recovery, Security, Maintainability, Supportability
- Assist in AWS cloud migrations and implementations ensuring designs conform to security standards and policies.
- Collaborating with enterprise architecture and peers to identify and agree the technical standards, frameworks, tooling, and patterns for technical solutions adhering to enterprise standards and best practice. 



Key Skills / Knowledge:
- Good understanding of Routing and Switching technologies and protocols as core Domain Expertise
- Cisco R/S Nexus architecture ,BGP ,OSPF ,F5 LB&VPN, PALO ALTO, CISCO ASA , , AWS Cloud Networking ,SD-WAN ,Kubernetes Networking , ZScaler, Akami-WAF &  AWS Could networking, AWS Network firewall
- Python, Terraform using GitHub



Experience Required:
- Hands knowledge on Python, Terraform and CI/CD pipeline using GitHub for resource deployment.
- Tooling knowledge of confluence and Jira will be added advantage.
- The candidate must have excellent understanding of Routing and Switching technologies and protocols.
- The candidate must have working experience with Cisco R/S Nexus architecture
- The candidate must have working experience with AWS Network firewall.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
