Lead Backend Engineer
A Series-C FinTech scale-up in Manhattan is expanding its new product technology team, and looking to hire a Lead Backend Engineer
The unicorn-status company provides its customers with a digital wealth management platform for investment activity, guided by innovative AI-driven technology.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and expand their trading and account management infrastructure to cater to the needs of our vast client base, facilitating transactions worth millions of dollars daily.
- Enhance support for new financial products and account types, develop automated portfolio management systems, and manage the flow of thousands of daily messages to ensure account synchronization.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering Management and fellow engineers to uphold the stability, scalability, and security of their systems.
- Work collaboratively with design, product, and customer experience teams to create innovative and delightful user experiences unprecedented in the financial industry.
Requirements:
- Strong technical proficiency with over 7 years of experience in building applications using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, with experience guiding and developing engineers.
- Proven track record of working with complex, real-time external APIs.
