Infrastructure Engineer

Hybrid (2-3 days a week)
I'm pleased to be assisting one of the leading information services companies in the global legal industry as they look to add an experienced 2nd/3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to their IT team.
This is a business critical position in which you will work closely with the Head of IT and play an essential role in providing technical support to the wider business and a major role implementing and deploying new IT software and making sure the IT infrastructure is always secure.
Purpose of the role:
To provide 2nd / 3rd line support to ensure server infrastructure runs 24/7, maintain essential technical operations, IT security controls, and security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
You will also be identifying risks to the IT Landscape, maintaining infrastructure monitoring, implementing + deploying new IT software, and help train other IT Teams for project rollouts and upgrades.
Knowledge & Experience:
We're looking for someone with a combination of the follwoing:
- 5 or more years of experience in Microsoft Windows Server administration
- Current IT certifications
- Microsoft Office 365 suite (inc. Exchange Online and SharePoint)
- Microsoft Azure services (inc. Azure AD)
- Microsoft Intune / Endpoint management
- Active Directory / DNS / DHCP
Nice to have:
- Security understanding -such as 365 architecture and Windows Server hardening policies.
- Good knowledge of networking protocols and equipment
- Secure infrastructure / architecture design
- Baseline security best practice
- Familiarity of Firewalls, switches, Access Points
- Familiarity with IT security controls (including SIEM, DLP, vulnerability management, Cyber Threat Intelligence and Endpoint protections)
