Stott & May US has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and collaborative Information Security Awareness and Communications Manager to join our client's inclusive team in Austin. This full-time Information Security Communications Manager position offers an attractive salary and benefits for your expertise.
As a trusted technical authority, you’ll be the go-to person for all training, awareness, and communication requirements within Information Security, Cyber Security, Data Protection, and Risk Mitigation. You will be responsible for creating the Information Security and Risk Management awareness, communications, and training strategies, including corporate infosec and data protection awareness for all employees and engineers.
To give you an idea of how this Infosec Awareness and Communication Manager role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do:
- Be accountable for establishing an annual information security education and awareness plan
- Create and implement regular phishing campaigns based on internal analyzing of email trending
- Develop and execute communication strategies focused on security initiatives via all available tactics and channels
- Work with the Internal Comms team to obtain their support and buy-in to the program and keep abreast of the overall Comms strategy
We are looking for an Infosec Awareness and Communication Manager with experience creating, developing, and managing targeted technical awareness campaigns/programs and experience running phishing campaigns company-wide and department-specific. Additional qualifications include:
- Experience using Secure Code Training platforms
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with an ability to articulate complex security risks and concepts to a range of business people
- Experience developing innovative and engaging communications materials
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, articulate, able to influence others
- Excellent time and project management skills, with experience in cross-functional collaboration and building positive relationships with company/departmental stakeholders
