Head of Cyber Security – High growth tech
Austin based – will consider other Texas locations with travel
Comp negotiable but target $350k $450k TC
Our client is an award-winning hyper growth technology organization who is looking to hire a Head of Cyber Security to be an integral part of their growth. This individual will take responsibility for growing and scaling the security team. This is an ideal role for someone who is a CISO within a small company or is looking to move onto that path within a dynamic growing organization.
The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge of technical applications & strategy, leadership experience is essential.
- Ownership & accountability for designing & implementing security framework
- Identifying security risks across organization, recommending remediations & working with risk committees
- Provide design advice on new systems & projects to ensure information security controls & subsequent architecture principles are followed
- Chair information security working group & ensure information security & data protection issues followed
- Produce budgets & business cases for investment in information security controls & capabilities
- Deliver or commission program of vulnerability scanning & penetration testing
- Work closely with engineering team across technology risk identification, measurement & control disciplines
- Develop in-house incident security monitoring & response procedures
- Strong technical knowledge & experience in information / cyber security
- Knowledge within cloud-hosted infrastructure
- Understanding of cyber threats, malware & social engineering techniques
- Ideally holding some relevant security qualification
