Your Role
As a software engineer, you and your team will be responsible for developing the installation experience of our tado° products. This includes connecting tado° devices in the user's home network, adding devices to the tado° platform, and providing the users with installation instructions so anybody can install tado°. Your daily business will involve the following:
Discover opportunities together with other engineers, a UX designer, and a product manager
Participate in and lead data-driven decision-making to find the next value-adding solution
Engage with users regularly through qualitative and quantitative research
Bring the right solutions to life - fast and sustainable - using JVM-based languages and frameworks as well as modern web and mobile technologies.
Deploy small version increments to production, then monitor and scale it on AWS infrastructure.
As of today, we are using the following technologies: Kotlin (Spring, Ktor), TypeScript (Angular 15), Dart (Flutter), AWS, GitHub, and Google Workspace for collaboration.
Requirements
You have a broad technical experience in backend- and frontend development (Mid-Level/Senior), and you're confident in getting into new technologies or unknown code bases.
You are conscientious, used to taking the initiative over receiving directions, and can manage your time and focus.
You actively seek opportunities to improve yourself, the working process, your team collaboration, and feedback mechanisms.
You have experience in rapidly introducing incremental change to production systems.
You are effective in explaining complex topics in English, appropriately tailoring your delivery according to your audience.
You are interested (having experience is a plus) in the HVAC technology domain.
