FTTx Site Supervisor (cable)  - outside IR35 

UK Based, Project Area Cornwall, 90% travel to site

Car included for the transport to site (inclusive of rate) 

Initial 6-month contract 


Job Role:
The FTTx Site Supervisor reports into the Rollout PM/Construction Manager and is responsible for ensuring that all field activities (Cable works, splicing and testing,) are carried out in accordance with agreed designs, working practices in line with all necessary Health and Safety requirements and to the necessary quality.

Key Tasks:
  • Daily on-site supervision of installation / build progress according to agreed milestones, assuring the required quality in the deployment by the appointed Build Partners
  • Review and interpret Build pack and ensure all documentation is in line with applicable requirements and conduct construction walkthrough with key stakeholders
  • Ensure the latest version of Build Pack, method statements, procedures and relevant requirements are being used and facilitate this to Build Partners in order to monitor compliance throughout the lifecycle of the deployment
  • Validate any variation or change in the deployment that has impact to cost or schedule is supported by an approved change
  • Ensure daily progress tracking with subcontractor including the updates on the relevant tools (e.g. RoT/WF). Approve / Reject works completed by subcontractor on the relevant tools

Requirements: 
  • Full UK Driving License 
  • Previous supervisory experience on large UK FTTx projects
  • Good understanding of FTTx architecture and designs
  • Solid understanding of the SROF / HAUC regulations

  • SA001 Safety Overhead
  • SA002 Safety Underground
  • S006 Duct Survey
  • S005 Pole Survey 
  • SSSTS / SMSTS (preferable) 
  • Knowledge and experience of H&S practices for traffic management, excavations and underground asset avoidance.
