What You'll Do
As the IT Business Domain Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future.You'll bridge the gap between business strategy and IT execution by:
  • Mapping IT capabilities: Develop and maintain the IT portion of the corporate Capability Map, ensuring alignment between people, processes, data, systems, and business goals.
  • Defining the roadmap: Collaborate with Portfolio Management to create IT roadmaps aligned with business needs and future target architectures.
  • Ensuring architectural compliance: Guide projects within the established Reference Architecture and IT Vision & Strategy.
Your Domain Expertise
In this senior-level role, you'll leverage your in-depth knowledge of IT processes and frameworks, including:
  • IT4IT
  • ITIL
  • Information Security Management Systems
  • Identity and Access Management
You'll also be passionate about improving user experience through initiatives like the New Way of Working.
Building a Sound IT Architecture
Partnering closely with the Business, you'll create and maintain Business & Data Architectures that reflect underlying business value. Here's how you'll make a difference:
  • Digital Roadmap Development: Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams to craft a clear digital roadmap for IT4IT.
  • Requirement Assessment: Analyze business processes, IT, and technology requirements to recommend improvements and streamline the IT4IT landscape.
  • Business Capability Mapping: Contribute to the Business Capability Map, linking business processes and technologies
  • Solution Alignment: Verify proposed solutions align with other projects and the defined IT Vision & Strategy.
Investigate, Analyze, and Improve
You'll possess a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach, demonstrated by:
  • Conducting thorough "As-Is" situation investigations, documenting findings in the Architecture Repository.
  • Maintaining the integrity of the knowledge base by resolving inconsistencies and acquiring missing information.
  • Monitoring application and technology lifecycles, recommending actions to ensure a healthy IT landscape.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone with a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Here are some additional qualities that will make you stand out:
  • Minimum 8 years of IT experience in a closely related domain (e.g., Domain Architect, Enterprise Architect, Business Analyst)
  • Strategy and Management consulting experience (highly valued)
  • Hands-on experience in Technology and/or Application Architecture/Engineering (a plus)
Thriving in this Role
You'll be successful if you possess the following skills:
  • Fluency in Dutch or French and English
  • Proficiency in various analysis techniques (e.g., use cases, scenario building)
  • Expertise in ArchiMate® 3.1, BPMN, and UML notations/methodologies
