Senior IBM DataStage Developer – Contract Opportunity

Location: Luxembourg (Onsite 
Start Date: March 2026
Duration: 6 months (with strong possibility of extension)
Languages Required: English and French

Overview
We are seeking experienced IBM DataStage Developers to support the design, development, and evolution of an Enterprise Data Warehouse platform within a leading banking environment in Luxembourg. The role focuses on building scalable, reliable, and governed data integration pipelines to support regulatory reporting, business intelligence, and advanced analytics. The successful candidates will contribute across the full data lifecycle, including technical design, ETL development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using IBM DataStage
• Develop scalable data integration processes aligned with enterprise data warehouse architecture
• Implement transformation logic based on business and functional requirements
• Optimize ETL performance, parallel processing, and system resource utilization
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and other engineering teams
• Support testing, deployment, and production operations
• Ensure compliance with data governance, data quality, and regulatory standards

Required Skills and Experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL, or Data Warehouse environments
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on IBM DataStage development experience
• Strong experience delivering Data Warehouse solutions within banking or financial services
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2
• Strong understanding of data warehouse modelling concepts (dimensional and relational)
• Experience with ETL job design, performance tuning, and optimization
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work onsite in Luxembourg
• Fluency in English and French

Nice to Have
• Experience with tools such as Denodo, Cloudera, Dataiku, WebFOCUS, or Power BI
• Experience in regulatory reporting environments
• Experience working in large enterprise or banking environments
