Job description
Database Administrator in the ICT Operations and Infrastructure area:
Location: Nearsite from The Hague preferred, but remote is negotiable
Duration: 11/03/2024 - 31/10/2025 (initial contract 12 month with extensions)
- Certificate of good conduct (not older than 3 months) + Security Clearance required (needs to be sec clearable, process of clearance will start after they are hired)
- EU passport holders only and based in the EU
Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain diverse DBMS including MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J, SQL Server.
- Ensure server health through metrics monitoring, security management, and regular maintenance tasks.
- Implement backup strategies, optimize performance, and configure High Availability & Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Drive automation using scripts (Bash, Puppet, Python, PowerShell) and deploy changes through DevOps pipelines.
- Conduct data modeling, manage change releases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience in Database Administration (min 4 years).
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
