Job description

Stott & May are looking to speak with highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Operations Managers to join a client of ours within a really exciting space and time for the business.

Type: Contract or SOW (Outside IR35)
Length: Initially 6 months (multiple extensions likely)
Day Rate: Very competitive – Open to negotiation
Location: Just outside Berkshire (North of)
Hybrid Working: Yes however, this is NOT a remote working role. There will be often days in the office expected

We are looking for someone who is confident in their own ability to recommend change and someone who has the knowledge to confidently evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies to enhance security posture.

Cyber Security Operations Manager – Responsibilities:
  • Lead the cyber security operations team
  • Successfully deliver on transformational strategy
  • Oversee day-to-day security operations
  • Manage security incidents
  • Implementing security strategies
  • Evaluation of 3rd parties (SOC/IR)
Cyber Security Operations Manager – Experience:
  • Management: Previous experience leading and managing cyber security teams, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations
  • Threat and Vulnerability Management: Track history of monitoring and assessing emerging threats and vulnerabilities whilst developing and implementing remediation plans
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Previously conducted regular risk assessments and developed risk mitigation strategies whilst maintaining that all important documentation (for audit and compliance purposes)
  • Security Technology Management: Strong background within transformation such as the deployment, configuration, and management of security technologies and tooling (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM)
Cyber Security Operations Manager – Advantageous:
  • Previous military background is more than welcomed
