Job description

One of our esteemed clients- a prominent retailer operating on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform is seeking a VP of Digital Commerce to lead their digital-first initiatives and propel their overall growth competitive edge in the market.

In this leadership role you will have ownership over Digital Marketing, Ecommerce, Merchandising, Social Commerce, and more; with full PnL Ownership in a Salesforce Customer360 Environment (Sales, Service, Marketing, Commerce, etc.).


Strategic Leadership:

  • Drive the strategic direction and vision for Salesforce Commerce Cloud initiatives, aligning it with the company's overall business objectives.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop a roadmap for the platform's growth, scalability, and performance optimization.

  • Define the technical architecture and development strategy for our web properties, ensuring alignment with business requirements, user experience goals, and scalability needs.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the platform and recommending innovative solutions.

Team Management and Development:

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to leaders within the business, promoting their professional growth and development.

  • Oversee resource planning, workload allocation, and performance management to ensure successful project execution and delivery.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments, such as product management, design, and quality assurance, to drive effective and efficient development processes.

Technical Excellence and Innovation:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Salesforce Commerce Cloud and related technologies, evaluating their potential to drive innovation and improve the platform's performance.

  • Drive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of scalable, reliable, and secure solutions.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for automation, process optimization, and performance enhancement.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to leverage their expertise and drive innovation within the organization.

Stakeholder Management and Communication:

  • Providing regular updates on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform's performance, roadmap, and strategic initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication, alignment, and understanding of project requirements, timelines, and dependencies.

  • Engage with external clients, partners, and vendors to understand their needs, address concerns, and foster productive relationships.


  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in the Salesforce Ecosystem, with a deep understanding of its architecture, capabilities, and best practices.

  • Proven track record of leading and managing large-scale Salesforce Commerce Cloud development initiatives, including multi-site and multi-channel implementations.

  • Experience working at Enterprise retailers within the Salesforce Ecosystem

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
