Test Analyst (Payments) - 12 Months - Outside IR35 - £350-£400 P/D -East London/Essex border
About the Role:
We’re seeking a skilled Test Analyst to join our Quality Engineering and Assurance (QEA) team, focusing on Merchant Acquisition and Payments Processing projects. In this hands-on role, you’ll lead testing efforts for digital portals and transaction processes, ensuring seamless quality across critical financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
This is a 12-month contract role with 4 days per week onsite required on the East London/Essex border. For the right candidate the client will pay between £350-£400 per day outside IR35.

We’re seeking a skilled Test Analyst to join our Quality Engineering and Assurance (QEA) team, focusing on Merchant Acquisition and Payments Processing projects. In this hands-on role, you’ll lead testing efforts for digital portals and transaction processes, ensuring seamless quality across critical financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Develop and manage test scenarios for both manual and automated testing
- Collaborate closely with technical and business teams, reporting on test outcomes and defect resolutions
- Execute SQL queries and work with databases (Oracle, Snowflake) and APIs (JMeter)
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, ideally within the payments or financial services industry
- Proficient with JIRA, XRAY, and structured test methodologies (Agile & Waterfall)
- Strong SQL skills and experience with API testing tools
- Strong stakeholder management skills
