Position Description
Location: Role can be remote, though there will be travel to Liverpool and potentially Darlington for client meetings as required with some co-location anticipated if the role develops into a longer-term engagement.
Start ASAP End date - 6 months (potential for work to 30/03/2024)
Day rate: £450 (in scope)
MUST be SC Cleared with active and transferable clearance
This position is for an experienced client facing Senior BA to work alongside the Lead BA and other SMEs whose purpose is to analyse the current ageing (complicated) IT estate(s) and provide guidance on achieving the clients goal of migrating its IT resources.
The successful candidate will work alongside the account CTO (DCE), existing account Lead BA and account Lead Architects to gain an understanding of the clients’ business model(s) and their drive towards a culture of embedded Digitalisation. They will also be expected to work alongside and in conjunction with client BAs.
The candidate should be a self-starter and be used to working at pace, within a dynamic and diversely skilled team.
The IT estate(s) are comprised of data centre and on-site hosted servers providing Oracle stack capabilities (including bespoke Siebel, Oracle forms and MI capabilities), SQL server capabilities and supported by an array of interlinked legacy COTS products running on a variety of platforms (Wintel, UNIX).
You will have good experience of using a range of analysis and modelling techniques to capture current and target operating models, business functions, processes, logic, rules, internal / external information flows, system boundaries and data architecture.
We need our Business Analysts to be flexible, curious and creative and to have excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Core activities:
Mapping of Business Services to system architecture, verification of IT estate against business requirements, investigation & reporting of data mapping to IT estate, evaluation of IT resources migration path(s), stakeholder management, proposal preparation, reporting at a strategic level.
Essential Skills:
Knowledge of IT resources (software & hardware) migration planning, strategic level planning and reporting skills, excellent stakeholder management skills, creation of user journeys, change process
Highly desirable Skills:
Knowledge of Oracle Stack technology, knowledge of server migration, Working CRM knowledge
