OT Security Expert _ Freelance _ EU Citizenship required

Do you thrive in complex, collaborative environments? Are you passionate about securing Operational Technology (OT) systems in buildings?

This role is for an experienced OT Security Manager to lead and implement projects that enhance the security and resilience of our organization's OT environment. You'll work closely with various teams to ensure best practices are followed and potential threats are mitigated.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Building Technology, Building Operations, IT Network, IT Security, Line Managers, Project Managers, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of OT devices and FM network infrastructure.
  • Lead projects focused on OT security with internal and external teams.
  • Manage project lifecycles, including planning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Build and maintain a project knowledge management system.
  • Conduct and implement OT security assessments to identify and mitigate threats.
  • Set project guidelines for equipment configuration to minimize risks.
  • Propose and implement improvements to the OT environment and FM network.
  • Develop procedures for handling OT security events.
  • Analyze compliance gaps against OT security standards (DORA, NIS2, etc.).
  • Evaluate new building technologies for OT security suitability.
  • Support OT infrastructure deployment and maintenance.
  • Review external provider architecture proposals for functionality, security, and performance.
  • Develop OT security strategies in line with organizational standards and project needs.
  • Experience with OT security projects for Building Management Systems, Digital Twins, and more.
  • Proficiency in OT/IoT/IIoT technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, Modbus, BACnet, etc.).
  • Proven ability to draft technical documentation, policies, and network diagrams.
  • Practical experience with OT infrastructure, servers, networks, and virtualization.
  • Deep knowledge of OT security standards (IEC62443, NIST 800.82, ISA99).
  • Experience managing OT projects, architecture design, and patching procedures.
  • Strong Microsoft Office (365) and OT/design tool proficiency (Phosphorus, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • C1 English fluency (French a plus).
