IBM Z Series Security Administrator
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6-12 months
Pay: 575-595 per day (inside IR35, via umbrella)
Location: 3 days per week in Swindon.
Position Overview:
You will manage and enhance security for our IBM Z Series mainframe environment, focusing on RACF for z/OS and overall security principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage security policies for the IBM Z Series environment.
- Configure and maintain RACF (Resource Access Control Facility) for secure access control.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and audit security logs to identify and address threats.
- Respond to security incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures.
- Maintain detailed documentation of security procedures and configurations.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Expertise in RACF administration and configuration.
- Strong understanding of z/OS security features and best practices.
- Experience with security auditing and compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, IBM Certified Specialist) are a plus.
