Job description

Our client are a global leader in their space and are looking for the right person to head their IPR practice. 


  • Serve as the regional authority on IPR risk and governance.
  • Lead in establishing an effective notice and take down framework, enhancing rights owner experience and reducing IPR risks.
  • Develop and manage proactive monitoring programs to mitigate IPR risks (such as counterfeit and copycat issues) across various product contexts.
  • Handle high-impact brand incidents and escalations related to IPR, conducting thorough investigations and resolutions.
  • Identify and address policy, process, and metric deficiencies; initiate programs to optimize IPR risk management.
  • Set operational metrics and oversee a dashboard for tracking IPR operation effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Lead projects to enhance operational and process efficiency, involving extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams (Data Science, Product Management, Moderation, Legal, PR, etc.).
  • Maintain external partnerships with brands, agencies, and regulators to bolster IPR protection reputation.
  • Organize events and activities to boost IPR protection awareness; monitor media and global events for preemptive risk management.
  • Collaborate closely with various teams to implement solutions for IPR-related challenges and outsourcing needs.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields is advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in brand protection/relations, IPR/fraud investigations, or risk management.
  • Background in E-commerce Intellectual Property Protection is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization, especially in SQL & Excel
  • Strong analytical thinking and detail-oriented approach.
  • Comfortable in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication at all levels.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external teams, including Legal, Public Relations, and Brand Owners.
  • Solid project management skills, capable of leading diverse business and technical teams, ensuring timely project completion.
