Job description

About the role:
The Functional Consultant will be an Dynamics 365 F&O functional expert with proven ability to deliver solutions in a fast paced environment. The primary purpose of the Functional Consultant is to build on our existing D365 environment, expanding its use across the business to put it at the centre of all business operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Review business and software requirements and provide inputs.
  • Define and develop new functionality using out of the box tools and capabilities.
  • Continually assess and incorporate new features into new releases that can help improve business processes.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve and control processes across the business to meet the demands of an internationally growing business.
  • Ensure applications are designed to support business objectives and will provide a superior user experience.
  • Proactively identify solutions to address potential systems, design or business process issues and present them to both technology and business stakeholders.
  • Work with the project team to design, specify and deliver all project related changes related to D365.
  • Create Functional Design Documents (FDDs) which will be reviewed and signed off by the Solution Lead.
  • Develop and maintain information and documentation related to business processes and systems Propose tactical solutions and mitigate risks due to known issues
  • Provide solution designs, document data mapping, and data validation between systems
  • Support where necessary in the resolution of live issues
  • Collaborate with other team members (Project Manager, Developers, Business Analysts and Testers) to ensure the highest level of software quality
Experience:
  • Ideally, 3+ years' experience of Dynamics 365 F&O configuration
  • Retail background would be beneficial but not essential
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) and other Microsoft technologies (i.e., PowerApps, LogicApps, etc)
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O certifications in at least one functional area (e.g., SCM, Commerce) desirable
  • Good understanding of implementation methodologies for ERP, ideally Dynamics 365
  • Functional knowledge and experience of Azure DevOps
  • Experience in agile delivery desirable.
